It just doesn’t feel right
By Witchy | June 30, 2008
I got up this morning to find a new chair in my office, and I’m kinda cranky about it.
I like my OLD chair. It’s comfy. It’s the perfect height. The arms are adjustable and I have them in the perfect spot. It has lumbar support. It’s nicely broken in. Take a look… isn’t it a lovely chair?

And there is nothing wrong with it, per se. The leather on one of the arms is splitting, but we can do what we did with the other arm when it split a few years ago, and wrap it with electrical tape…
I LIKE my old chair.
Now… the NEW chair. I know I sat in it in the store and said it was a good chair, but still. The last thing you want to be faced with before you’ve even had your morning coffee is a new chair. For one, it was the wrong height. For two, the arms were at the wrong position.
I have not had my COFFEE yet, and I have to figure out how to operate a new chair I don’t even know if I want?
Made me cranky.
Here’s the cursed thing:

Seriously… which chair would YOU rather have?
The old one is stylish…. sure, it’s covered in cat hair. That’s to be expected when the cat thinks the warmest spot in the house is between your back and the chair. Yes, the arms are not in the best shape, but pleather is cheap… we can refinish it! This new chair… I can’t make it go down as low as I want it to, and my legs are brushing against the underside of my keyboard drawer. That’s damned annoying.
And it just doesn’t FEEL right to me…
Hmmm. Maybe dh would like a new chair for his office…
