Ripping off the tooth fairy
By Witchy | October 17, 2007
My daughter went to the dentist yesterday and had two baby teeth pulled (one more still needs to come out). One of the teeth was unbelievable… the adult tooth below it decided to take the path of least resistance and was pushing out through the gum instead of up under the baby tooth. That allowed the baby tooth to grow ENORMOUS roots (quite unusual in a baby tooth). It might never have come out on its own. Anyway, it’s out now, and the adult tooth should decide to take its place. If not, that’s what the braces will help fix.
She was a little trooper about it. But she always is. When she was little, if she hurt herself, we’d almost never know. She never cried or made a fuss, just went to the bathroom and cleaned herself up.
Nary a whimper, or even a grunt did she utter over this monstrous tooth being pulled… she just proudly displayed the tooth and demanded ten dollars!
Ten dollars!
This is what happens when a child figures out who the tooth fairy really is.

Problem is, our prices here have not been lowered to reflect the strong Canadian dollar. It’s pissing people off.

So … good ole American free enterprise is infecting the Great White North! We’re becoming such cozy neighbors! And then, when it’s legal for us to buy our prescriptions from Canada, watch your
pharmaceutical prices go through the roof! You betcha!
